While we are on predictions ...

I have a gut feeling that California Chrome will not win the Belmont Stakes, thus missing the opportunity to become the first Triple Crown Winner in 37-years.

Who will be the winner, I know you are now feverishly asking your inner selves? Well, inner selves ... tada ...

It will be either Wicked Strong or Samraat. Billi Pod is leaning toward Wicked Strong.

Moving on now to ...

Billi Pod’s report card on last night’s entertainment event, the Off Broadway show ...

DONOGOO, Lamendin is a desperate man suffering from an existential crisis and Le Trouhadec is a professor of geography who longs for election to the Academy of Sciences. Together they set in motion a stock market swindle of global proportions. Investors, pioneers and prospectors alike are driven to seek their fortune in Donogoo, Brazil, a place that doesn't exist - or does it?==>A

In yesterday’s blog I called this play a drama. Well, I was totally wrong. It is a 110% comedy that takes place in 23 scenes, created by simply amazing sets and projections.

It is very funny and the full-house audience was really into the show.

The underlying issue of whether Donogoo exists or not in Brazil is carried forward by a stellar cast of 13, most of whom play multiple roles. The star of the evening is James Riodan as the in-your-face con man Lamendin.

Yeah, it is laced with just the sort of humor that Billi Pod loves.

Billi Pod says==>if you are in the mood for some belly-laughs, then you gotta see this show.

It is in early previews, opens on June 23rd, is playing at The Mint Theatre on West 43rd Street, has a running time of 2:15, with intermission, and runs through July 27th.

Tonight’s entertainment event is an Off Broadway show ...

8:00==>CARNIVAL KIDS - “When an aimless former rock star loses his job and finds himself broke with nowhere to go, he's forced to move in with his adopted son and roommate in their cramped New York City apartment. As the two of them try to forge new lives together, a get-rich-quick scheme further complicates their lives and loves.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

This comedy just opened, is playing at the TBG Theatre on West 36th Street, has a running time of 1:55, with intermission, and runs through June 28th.

We will close this posting with the usual sports report, as requested by Marty ...

Last night out in Kansas City The Yankees (31-29) won 4-2 over The Royals (29-32) as Chase Whitley (1-0) finally got his first Major League win and David Robertson recorded his 14th save.

Tonight at 7:15pm is game 2 of the 4-game series. On the mound for The Yankees will be David Phelps (1-3), who has lost his last 3 starts vs. Danny Duffy (3-5).

OK, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, it is time to post this and then head out for a major ... and I mean ... major walk and wander session, probably in 70s in the Upper Westside, in the shade. Billi Pod needs to make up for a rather lackluster walking day yesterday ... so ...

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>2.15 miles (or, 4,702 steps)

Total mileage for 2014==>588.68 miles (average 3.75 miles per day)

GO YANKEES!!
