OMG!! Our Season Now Depends On AJ Burnett aka Loser Boi. WTF???

Good morning everyone out there in cyberspace. Let’s get right to it ...

Our ace CC Sabathia just didn’t have it last night and The Bronx Bombers lost 5-4 to The Tigers, whose ace, Justin Verlander, pitched well enough to get the win.

We failed yet again to get crucial hits with men in scoring position.

A-Rod is hitless for the series and Teixeira has only 1 hit. Jeter has been undependable in the clutch.

The fallout from this loss is horrific because tonight AJ Burnett aka Loser Boi is pitching in a must-win situation - we win tonight or the 2011 season is over.

These are the story lines in the local newspapers --

“IT’S UP TO A.J. - Would you trust your season to this man?” - NY Post

“YANKS’ FATE IS ALL ON A.J. - Gulp! It all rests on A.J.” - The Daily News

“Confident Burnett Puts Uneven Year Behind Him” - NY Times

You know, there’s not much more I can add to this dramatic nightmare, other than to say that Billi Pod will be glued to the tube when the first pitch is made at 8:37pm on TBS.

On another note - The Rays are also in a win-or-it’s-over situation. GO RAYS!!

The only positive about last night was having some overdue face time with John Scott Reed. He came over to PHC, after work, and we had time to do some catching up before the game started. We ordered in pizza and wings and that was nice.

Not in a mood to write any more ...

So, my loyal and faithful readers, this is it from The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World.

GO YANKEES AND GO GATORS!!
