Gators/Gamecocks==>Barf!! - Greg Louganis Movie Screening

Sunday==>The only good thing that came out of The Gators heartbreaking 23-20 OT loss to Coach Spurrier and his Limpcocks is the reality that Coach Muskrat’s firing is now inevitable. Yes, when the season ends The Gator Nation will be spared from watching any more of Muskrat's brand of “clunky, conservative, ugly, and often unwatchable football.”

Now, AD Jeremy Foley==>DO IT ASAP!!

Yes, your favorite blogger spent 95% of the day/evening in front of his 42” flat screen TV watching college football. The ‘Bama/Miss. State and ‘Noles/’Canes games were really fun to watch.

When the Gator game was over I felt I had to get outside the apartment to vent my absolute frustration so I spent about an hour walking in my immediate Hell’s Kitchen ‘hood. This and my during-the-game walking regimen resulted in some really good mileage==>5.13 miles.

Ok ... 'nuff about yesterday ... let’s move on to today and what Billi Pod has on his entertainment schedule ...

Today’s event is something just a bit different for Billi Pod, a movie screening ...

6:45==>BACK ON BOARD: GREG LOUGANIS - “This strikingly candid documentary film explores the triumphs and tragedies of Greg Louganis, considered by many the greatest diver of all time. A four-time Olympian, Louganis became a household name and an inspiration to countless athletes, but after he publicly revealed his sexuality and HIV status, the backlash cost him dearly. The film follows Louganis as he simultaneously faces the loss of his home and the possibility of redemption, returning to the diving board to mentor the 2012 US Olympic diving team.” (film screening - full price ticket)

This movie is being screened as part of the DOC NYC festival at the SVA Theatre on West 23rd Street.

I was alerted to this event by my friend Scott Wojcik, who owns a casting agency. Louganis will be at the screening. He will also be appearing next week in a staged reading of a play called SPRING AT THE WILLOWBROOK INN, that is being directed by Scott. I will see this “industry only” reading on Wednesday the 19th.

Hopefully I will run into Scott and his boyfriend Michael Rodriguez at the movie screening.

OK, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, your favorite blogger is majorly antsy and needs to post this and then do some serious walking and wandering even though it is gray and kinda cold out.

Yeah ... at 11:30am it is 44º, wind chill down to 40º with clouds. Still gotta get out and about ... so ...

HAVE A GREAT REST OF THE WEEKEND EVERYONE!!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>5.13 miles (or, 11,210 steps)

Total mileage for 2014==>1,297.27 miles (average 4.07 miles per day)

GO GATORS!!
