Saturday==>Billi Pod’s weekend got off to a good start this morning when he had a very pleasant walk and wander session to and from the post office and then in his Winter Park Village ‘hood.
Yeah, at 7:30am it was a very pleasant 77º with a light breeze and enough clouds to keep him basically in the shade for most of the time. When he got back to the apartment he had recorded 3.27 miles on his Pedometer. Not a bad start for the day and the weekend, IMHO.
At 11:30am it is 84º with the “feels like” index up to 93º. As usual in the Sunshine State this time of year, rain is in the forecast for the late afternoon/early evening. Oh well.
Now ... about yesterday ... yes ... your favorite blogger was a kinda couch potato for the afternoon and evening watching ... tada ... baseball, baseball and more baseball. Remember, you were warned that this was going to happen, and it did.
The first game was the Kansas City/Chicago White Sox game won by the Royals 4-2. Very exciting game.
Then, beginning at 7:05pm it was the Yankees/Seattle game from Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed and Ego Built, the first game of a 3-game series.
The Bronx Bombers won this nail biter 4-3 on A-Rod’s solo homer in the 7th inning. Masahiro Tanaka picked up his 6th win of the season.
And, speaking of nail biters, the final game was the 10:00pm LA Angels/Boston FuckSox game, won by the Angels 1-0 in the bottom of the 9th on a 2-out HR from All Star Game MVP Mike Trout. Wow, what a game. Trout is totally AWESOME!!
By the end of the evening the Yankees had increased their lead in the AL East to 4.5 games and the FuckSox had fallen further into the cellar, now trailing the Yankees by 7.5 games.
Yep, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, yesterday was just the kind of baseball fix that Billi Pod wanted/needed.
Another major plus for the day was that with my usual walking regimen during the games and my early morning walking I was able to have a very good walking day==>5.40 miles.
Well, what about today, I know many of you are asking?
Surprise. Surprise.
More baseball for the afternoon, beginning with ...
On the mound for the Yankees (49-40) will be Michael Pineda (9-5), who had an excellent recent game against the FuckSox vs. Hisashi Iwakuma (1-1) for the Mariners (41-49).
Depending on the weather it will either be more baseball for the evening or a movie at the multiplex across the street in Winter Park Village.
Hey, everyone ... I know this is pretty blah and even boring but ... it is what your favorite blogger has going on in his life at the moment ... so ...
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!
GO YANKEES!!
Total mileage for 2015==>811.35 miles (average 4.10 miles per day)
