Sunday==>slightly overcast and chilly - 46º at 11:00am in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World.
I am happy to report to you loyal and faithful readers and followers that last night’s entertainment event, SING OUT, RAISE HOPE @ Town Hall, a benefit concert to support pediatric AIDS research, was a totally enjoyable evening.
The concert featured Christine Ebersole and the a cappella group The Yale Whiffenpoofs. They were joined by the NYU N'Harmonics and The Young People's Chorus of New York City.
Great performances by everyone.
Before the show began I met up with my theater-buddy Marty Kosarik and we were able to get seats together and that was nice, even though, as expected, the comp. seats were in the rear of the upper balcony. That, however, was not a major problem.
As I said, it was a totally enjoyable evening and I am so glad I was able to attend. Being with Marty made it even better.
Today’s entertainment event is ...
3:00==>ALL THE RAGE - “This one-man show, written and performed by Martin Moran, takes him from Las Vegas to South Africa, unearthing unexpected connections and human hilarity's as he attempts to resolve an ancient riddle: how is it that one moment we might reach out in compassion and the next ... kill?” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)
Some pretty positive advance buzz about this show that is playing in a theatre right next door to my apartment building. It has a running time of 1:15.
When the show is over I will come back to PHC and watch the second half of the NFC Championship game: 49ers at Falcons, carried on FOX.
Then @ 6:30pm it will be the AFC Championship game: Ravens at Patriots, carried on CBS.
As you know, the winners will advance to Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans on February 3rd.
I really don’t have a favorite in either game so I am just looking forward to watching some good football.
Moving on ...
OUCH==>sometimes the truth really hurts. This is an item, verbatim, from Phil Mushnick, a columnist, in today’s New York Post ...
“Ya think Florida’s football recruiting program might have a systemic flaw? Under Urban Meyer (2005-10), the Gators had at least 31 player arrests. Last week, under second-year coach Will Muschamp, a 12th Florida player was arrested for on-campus theft. That’s at least 43 arrests since 2005.”
Ain’t nothing Billi Pod can add to that except==>OUCH!!
On this positive note I will post this and then do about a hour’s worth of walking and wandering ... so ...
Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>5.12 miles (or, 11,200 steps)
Total mileage since 7/1/12==>1,053.29 miles
Mileage remaining until 4/23/13==>25.71 miles
GO GATORS AND GO YANKEES!!
