Billi Pod Says==>HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BILL III

Thursday==>let’s start off this posting with ...

Happy 44th Birthday to my son Bill III aka Billyboy aka The Bill who lives in Orlando, FL, where he is a High School math teacher, avid golfer, dog lover, Crimson Tide fan and a GREAT son, pal and buddy.

Love ya Billyboy!!

Hope we can arrange a way and time for you to, finally, come back up to The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, this summer. Its only been 15 years since your last visit. We would have a ball, that is for certain and you would get the bedroom in PHC - how ‘bout dat?

Last night’s NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC @ Avery Fisher Hall concert was excellent, as usual, especially Brahm’s Piano Concerto performed by Yefim Bronfman.

The other work, Sibelius’ Symphony No. 2, was excellent, too, but I am still trying to become more involved with this composer’s work, like I have with the Masters such as Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart, Bach etc. I’ll keep trying.

Tonight’s entertainment event is more music ...

7:30==>SOLDIER SONGS - “A rock-opera that explores the perceptions versus the realities of the world of a soldier through the exploration of loss and exploitation of innocence, and the difficulty of expressing the truth of war.” (complimentary ticket)

This well reviewed hour-long performance is playing downtown at the Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University.

Moving on ...

News from the Yankee Universe==>Alex Rodriguez underwent successful surgery on his left hip Wednesday. If his recovery and rehab goes as planned he will, hopefully, return to the lineup in mid-July. There is, however,  some “insider” buzz that he ain’t ever gonna come back. WTF??

And ... what is the mess that is developing in South Bend about linebacker Manti Te’o, the runner-up for this year’s Heisman Trophy Award? It seems that his so-called former girlfriend, Lennay Kekus, never existed, never dated Te’o, never was in a car accident, never battled leukemia and never died? Gonna be interesting to see how he and Notre Dame wiggle out of this.

And ... Lance Armstrong==>what a f**king loser. He’s really gonna need performance enhancing drugs if he is to survive his probable jail-time ... jus sayin.

Anyway, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, on these happy notes I will close this out.

Yesterday was a good walking day ...

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>6.34 miles (or, 13,859 steps)

Total mileage since 7/1/12==>1,039.56 miles

Mileage remaining until 4/23/13==>39.44 miles

GO GATORS AND GO YANKEES!!
