Tuesday==>WOW!! Had a great time yesterday with Kate Martin and Marty Kosarik.
First, we met up for an Off Broadway show playing at the Little Shubert, right next door to my apartment building ...
POTTED POTTER, where 2 actors do all 7 Harry Potter novels in 70-minutes==>A.
As I posted yesterday, I saw the show several times last year and then again on June 2 when it returned from its national tour. Each time I totally enjoyed it and gave it an A. Well, it still earns an A, IMHO.
We had excellent comp. seats. Had hoped that Dian Crystal aka My Lady would change her mind at the last minute and join us, but, alas ... it didn’t happen.
When the show was over we walked up to 47th Street to Meske, my favorite Ethiopian restaurant, where we had a great dinner.
This was Kate’s first venture into the world of Ethiopian food so, at our suggestion, she ordered the Vegetarian Sampler platter. She said she liked it.
There is so much going on in Kate’s life right now. She is halfway through her 8-week fashion-industry internship and is sorting through her many options once the internship is over. She really wants to remain in NYC and I hope that works out for her.
During dinner she and Marty discussed many of the housing options that are available to her on a limited budget.
So==>Marty and Kate ... it was great being with you guys.
Tonight’s entertainment event for your favorite blogger will be ...
7:05pm==>YANKEES/DODGERS @ Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed And Ego Built, for the first game of a 2-game inter-league series. (season ticket package)
The Dodgers will be in The Bronx for the first time in 32 years. They played The Yankees in the 1981 World Series, won by The Dodgers.
I know that Dodger manager Don Mattingly aka Donnie Baseball will receive a warm welcome from the fans who remember his many productive years as a Bronx Bomber.
On the mound for The Yankees will be Phil Hughes ( 3-5) vs. Hyun-Jin Ryu (6-2) for The Dodgers.
Well, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, at 1:00pm here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, it is overcast and 82ยบ which is perfect for some walking and wandering time. Oh ... there is 50% chance of rain at game-time and that sucks.
Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>3.11 miles (or, 6,798 steps)
Total mileage since 7/1/12==>1,661.94 miles
GO YANKEES!!
