Tuesday==>Yes, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, that’s correct ... you didn’t misread ... yesterday your favorite blogger gave himself a DAY-OFF, aided and abetted by mostly nasty and yucky weather here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World.
Oh, he had several entertainment options, including braving the weather to walk the two blocks to the movie theater(s) but, instead Billi Pod opted to stay in and watch endless baseball, major league and college level. Unfortunately the Yankees had a day-off, too.
Not to worry out there in the hinterlands, wastelands and boondocks because today the weather is much better and Billi Pod has a very interesting Off Broadway play scheduled for the evening ...
7:30==>THE LOVES OF MR. LINCOLN - “A brilliant theatrical depiction of our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, who loved his wife, his children, the Union, the United States of America and especially his best friend Joshua Speed.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)
This is playing at the Abingdon Theatre Complex on West 36th Street.
Tonight at 10:05pm EST The Yankees (37-26) will play the first game of a 3-game series in Oakland against The Athletics (38-27).
On the mound for The Bronx Bombers will be our ace CC Sabathia (6-4) against Bartolo Colon (7-2), the ace of The A’s staff.
BREAKING NEWS==>Timmy Tebow has just signed a contract with the New England Patriots, the arch rivals of his former team, The Jets.
As might be expected, this move has generated some interesting headlines today’s papers ...
“BORN AGAIN - Pats resurrect Tebow’s career.” - back page of the New York Post.
“GOD HELP US - Tebow, Belichick team up for full-scale assault on Jets.” - back page of the Daily News
“In Patriots, Tebow Finds Fitting Team For Return.” - front page of the Sports Section of the New York Times
On Tuesday Timmy will report to The Pats mini-camp to begin his quest to make the team’s roster. It should be very interesting.
On this happy note I will post this and then attempt to finish up the errands and chores left over from yesterday’s day-off.
Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>1.25 miles (or, 2,748 steps)
Total mileage since 7/1/12==>1,620.34 miles
GO YANKEES!!
