The Yankees Win A Nail-biter!

Tuesday==>On this dark, dreary and rainy day here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, let’s get today’s posting started with Billi Pod’s report on last night’s entertainment event ...

YANKEES/ANGELS out at Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed And Ego Built. Man, what an exciting, nail-biting game. The weather was awesome.

Our new ace, Hiroki Kuroda, pitched a gem, giving up zero runs, only 3 hits and striking out 7, through 8 solid innings. We scored 2 runs on a crucial hit from Brett Gardner and a solo homer from Curtis Granderson.

I have to report that A-Rod received more cheers than boos at the beginning of the game but that quickly went to resounding boos when he sucked at-bat, grounding into 2 double plays.

Yeah ... as I promised in earlier postings ... I booed him each time he came to bat because he is a liar, cheat and disgrace to the franchise and MLB.

In the top of the 9th inning, with the score 2-1, Girardi brought in Dave Robertson to close it out, rather than Mo. The crowd kept chanting “We want Mo!” That was kinda awkward.

Well,  Robertson struck out 2 with the bases loaded to end the game and get the save.

Yes, it was a very very exciting game.

This was my 12th game of the season and their record is 7-wins, 5-losses. I have 2 remaining games in my season ticket package.

Tonight at 7:05pm is game 2 of the 4-game series. On the mound for The Yankees will be our former ace CC Sabathia (9-10) vs. Jason Vargas (6-4) for The Angels.

Moving on ...

Tonight’s entertainment event is a classical music concert at Lincoln Center ...

8:00==>MOSTLY MOZART FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA @ Avery Fisher Hall - The program is: “Beethoven - Symphony No. 2 and Rossini - Stabat mater.”
(concert - complimentary ticket)

Your favorite blogger has a definite need for a classical music fix and this should fill the bill.

I am pretty confident that my comp. seat will be in the upper nosebleed section, but no matter, the acoustics are adequate in Avery Fisher Hall.

When the concert is over I will walk back to the apartment, weather permitting, while listening to the final innings of the YANKEES/ANGELS game.

Well, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, I still have a few things to do errand-wise, plus the weekly trip to the grocery store, so ... time to post this and get at it.

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>3.25 miles (or, 7,103 steps)

Total mileage since 7/1/13==>153.76 miles (average 3.58 miles per day)

GO YANKEES!!
