The Yankees Kick FuckSox Butt Again!!

Monday==>OK, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, let’s get right to today’s posting because your favorite blogger here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, has tons and tons of things and stuff to do on this “Errands Monday,” so let’s get started with ...

Billi Pod’s report card on yesterday’s Off Broadway show ...

THE PAVILION, about onetime sweethearts at their 20-year high school reunion==>B+

It is very emotional but also funny at times. It does not have a typical rom/com ending.

The show is very well acted, especially Tim Elliott as the Narrator, as he transforms into multiple male and female roles.

This was the last performance of the limited run and the small space was full.

When the show was over I walked back to the apartment, a distance of 2.25 miles. It felt really good.

When I got back to the cozy confines of PHC I settled in to watch baseball, first The Little League World Series and then for the evening the 8:05pm YANKEES/FUCKSOX game from that fetid cesspool known as Fenway Park, carried on ESPN.

It was a typical Yankees/FuckSox game  ... lasting 4 hours and 12 minutes ... with ... tada ... A-Rod providing a lot of the drama, of course.

A-Rod was hit by a pitch (deliberately, IMHO) that started a controversy that ultimately got Girardi kicked out of the game. A-Rod got his revenge, however, going 3 for 4, scoring 2 runs, driving in 2 runs and hitting a home run.

Our former ace, CC Sabathia, had another less-than-stellar outing but still got the win. The Bronx Bombers won 9-6 and Mo got his 36th save. It was a true nail-biter to the final out at 12:20am.

The Bronx Bombers have today off and then tomorrow begin a 4-game series against Toronto at Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed And Ego Built.

Moving on to today’s entertainment event ...

7:00==>WHERE WE’RE BORN - “Home after her first semester at a prestigious East Coast college, Lily is confronted by her working class roots and the ties that bind her to her rural Massachusetts town.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

This is playing at The Rattlestick Theater down in The West Village and is part of a festival honoring the award-winning playwright Lucy Thurber. Several of her plays are being performed at multiple downtown venues

After the show is over I will, weather permitting, walk back to the apartment.

OK, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, it is time to post this and then get on with the mundane errands and stuff day ... so ...

Oh ... yesterday was a pretty good walking day, too.

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>5.11 miles (or, 11,171 steps)

Total mileage for the week==>28.88 miles (average 4.13 miles per day)

Total mileage since 7/1/13==>174.28 miles (average 3.63 miles per day)

GO YANKEES!!
