Sunday==>Your favorite blogger here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, is having a great weekend so far and he hopes that all of his loyal and faithful readers and follower are too.
Last night’s entertainment event, MOSTLY MOZART FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA @ Avery Fisher Hall, was terrific, especially the final number, Brahms Symphony No. 2.
Brahms is my second most-favorite classical music composer, just behind Beethoven. For your edification==>my top 6 are:
Beethoven
Brahms
Wagner
Mozart
Tchaikovsky
Schubert
As you can probably tell from the pic, my comp. seat location was in the upper nosebleed section, the second tier, on the side, but that wasn’t a problem with either the sight line or the sound.
When the concert was over I walked back to the apartment. The weather was great and it felt good.
What wasn’t great or good was the earlier YANKEES/FUCKSOX game at that cesspool known as Fenway Park. The Bombers lost 6-1 as their bats went suddenly silent and they basically played sloppy ball defensively. Hiroki Kuroda just didn’t have it. It wasn’t a fun game to watch.
Tonight at 8:05pm, on ESPN, will be the final game of the 3-game series. On the mound for The Bombers will be our former ace CC Sabathia (10-10) vs. Ryan Dempster (6-8) for the FuckSox.
Yes, you favorite blogger will stay in to watch the game.
Today’s entertainment event is an Off Broadway show ...
3:00==>THE PAVILION - “Peter returns to his twenty-year high-school reunion with dreams of winning back Kari, the girl he left behind after an unexpected pregnancy ended their relationship.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)
This show is playing at The Drilling Company Theater on West 78th Street and has a running time of 90 minutes, with an intermission. This afternoon is the final performance of its limited run.
When the show is over it is my plan/intent to walk back to the apartment.
In closing ... let me respond to several texts and emails about my failure to comment daily on the ongoing A-Rod Circus ... folks ... he is a liar, cheat and disgrace to the franchise and MLB and I intend to spend as little time/energy on that scumbag as possible.
So ... on this happy note ...
HAVE A GREAT REST OF THE WEEKEND EVERYONE!
Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>5.54 miles (or, 12,116 steps)
