Sandy Mullon Arrives On Tuesday

Monday==>Good morning to all of my loyal and faithful readers and followers. This posting will be somewhat shorter (stop the applause, I know who you are and where you live ... so don’t make me come over there and bitch-slap you) than usual because your favorite blogger here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, has tons and tons of things and stuff that still need to be done in final preparation for tomorrow’s arrival of my dear friend Sandy Mullon, of Anna Maria, FL.

As I have posted before, Sandy will be with me from Tuesday until Friday and we have a lot already planned for her long overdue return to The Big Apple. She has the responsibility for planning what we do during the day and I have the responsibility for the evenings.

I know that during the day we will hit the museums and art galleries and then for the evenings will be ...

Tuesday - noon==>hopefully Sandy will arrive at PHC;
6:00==>Dinner with Dian Crystal aka My Lady and Marty Kosarik aka Whatever @ Meske, the Ethiopian restaurant on West 47th Street in my Hells Kitchen ‘hood;
8:15pm==>NEWSICAL THE MUSICAL @ Theatre Row next to my apartment building.

Wednesday - 8:00==>The Broadway musical PIPPIN

Thursday - 7:00==>The Broadway musical MATILDA

Friday - Sandy departs in the morning.

Oh yes ... it’s gonna be a lot of fun and I am really looking forward to being with her.

Moving on ...

Billi Pod’s report card on yesterday’s entertainment event ...

A USER’S GUIDE TO HELL, FEATURING BERNARD MADOFF, examines how the most hated man in America might actually be a reflection of our most admired American values==>B+

The show is well acted, informative and thought-provoking. It touches on numerous subjects, including: what is Heaven; what is Hell; who/where is God; what is forgiveness; who are we; why do we care who we are?

This show is playing down in Chelsea at Atlantic Stage 2 on West 16th Street, has a running time of 1:30, without intermission, and runs through September 28th.

I saw this show with my theater-buddy Dian Crystal aka My Lady and she also liked it a lot.

Billi Pod says==>it is worth seeing

When the show was over we walked over to the High Line entrance on 14th Street and then walked the entire length up to 30th Street, where we split.

As usual Dian took lots and lots of pictures.

The weather was awesome and it felt really good to be out and about.

Great being with you My Lady. Looking forward to seeing you and Whatever on Tuesday @ Meske.

Now, for just a bit of sports for my theater buddy Marty Kosarik aka Whatever ...

Yesterday afternoon, out at Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed And Ego Built, The Yankees were able to escape with a 4-3 victory to avoid being swept by The FuckSox.

It was a crazy win because Mo. came in for a 2-inning save and blew it in the top of the 9th. The Yankees won in the bottom of the 9th when Ichiro Suzuki scored on a wild pitch. Mo. got the win, go figure.

The win means we are still alive (barely) in the race of the final wild-card spot.

Tonight the Yankees will be in Baltimore for the first game of a 10-game road trip==>Baltimore (4), Boston (3) and Toronto (3).

On the mound tonight will be CC Sabathia (13-11) for the Yankees vs. Chris Tillman (15-5) for The Orioles. Jeter will not be in the lineup.

OK, folks, time to post this and then get to work ... so ...

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>4.73 miles (or, 10,350 steps)

Total mileage for the week==>24.21 miles (average 3.46 miles per day)

Total mileage since 7/1/13==>250.12 miles (average 3.57 miles per day)

GO YANKEES!! GO GATORS!!
