Billi Pod Says==>The Wankies Suck!!

Saturday==>The only positive thing about last night’s fiasco out at Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed And Ego Built, was that I wasn’t physically present to watch what transpired in yet another soul-wrenching defeat. Being in front of the tube in PHC was painful enough - I can’t imagine how it must have felt to have been there in person.

Yes, my loyal and faithful readers and followers out there in the morass known as cyberspace, The Yankees got a quality start from Andy Pettitte but the bullpen imploded for the second straight night, failing to protect a 5-run lead and giving up 9 unanswered runs in the final three innings. The final score was 12-8

These are the headlines in today’s papers ...

“BUNCH OF BULL. Yanks’ pen implodes again in ugly loss to Red Sox.” - back page of The NY Post

“POISON PEN. Yankees blow 5-run lead as Red Sox batter Bomber relievers.” - back page of The Daily News

“Lead Vanishes; So Does Some Hope. A depleted bullpen gives up nine runs as the Yankees lose ground in the wild-card race.” - front page of sports section of The New York Times.

Game 3 of the 4-game series will be at 1:05pm. today.

On the mound for The Wankies will be David Huff (2-0) making his first start of the season vs. John Lackey (8-12) for The FuckSox.

Folks ... the Fat Lady is waiting in the wings, getting ready to sing ... jus sayin’

Your favorite blogger will devote his time and attention this afternoon not to The Wankies but instead to The Florida Gators who will be playing The Miami Hurricanes in Miami, starting at noon and carried locally on ESPN.

The Gators are 3 point favorites in a game that will tell us a lot about how the rest of the season will play out.

I will keep track of the Yankee/FuckSox game via the ESPN app. on my iPhone.

Moving on ...

Tonight’s entertainment event will be a Broadway show ...

8:00==>BIG FISH - “A musical about a young man trying to sift through his father’s extremely unreliable stories.” (Broadway - discounted TDF ticket)

This show, in early previews, features two-time Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Tony nominee Kate Baldwin (Finian's Rainbow) and Tony nominee Bobby Steggert (Ragtime) and is directed by five-time Tony winner Susan Stroman. The advance buzz has been mostly positive.

It is playing at The Neil Simon Theater on West 52nd Street, has a running time of 2:20, with intermission, and opens on October 5th.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE.

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>1.40 miles (or, 3,059 steps)
