Monday==>It is a gray and overcast morning here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, with intermittent rain showers in the forecast for the remainder of the day and into the evening hours.
This is not the best weather for an errands and chores day, but ... ain’t nothing I can do about it except bitch and whine and ... that’s really boring ... so ... let’s get started with Billi Pod’s report card on yesterday’s entertainment events ...
and ... hold on ... what do you mean there ain’t anything to report on? Really? But, Billi Pod ... yesterday you said you were going to see a movie ... WTF?
Yeah ... I know ... in yesterday’s posting I reported that Billi Pod would catch the comedy 22 JUMP STREET, playing at a movie house only a block and a half from his apartment building ... well ... in the name of fair and unbiased reporting ... here it comes ... tada ...
Your favorite blogger was basically a couch-potato yesterday ensconced in front of his new (to him) 42” TV watching baseball, all afternoon and evening.
In fairness ... he did do the usual walking routine between 1/2 innings of the games and then a nice walk and wander session in his Hell’s Kitchen ‘hood, up to 57th Street and back and forth.
The mileage for the day was 5.14 miles, which ain’t bad.
So ... why don’t we just move on to the details on tonight’s entertainment event ...
8:00==>BROADWAY RISING STARS @ Town Hall - “The brightest young talent selected from some of the nation’s finest theatrical institutions will perform over two dozen show tunes penned by the beloved team of Kander & Ebb. The show will be hosted by Scott Siegel, with special guest Bill Irwin." (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)
This is a one-night only performance. I have seen this program format before and it is always very entertaining and well performed.
I am rather certain that my comp. tix will be in the very upper nosebleed section of Town Hall, where they usually are.
Moving on to the sports world for Marty ...
THANK GOD the World Cup is finally over. No, I didn’t watch one second of any of the games. Just glad that it is f*i*n*a*l*l*y OVER!!
Last night The Yankees (47-47) lost to The Orioles (52-42) 3-1 in Baltimore in a game called after 4 1/2 innings due to rain. There was a 2 hour 22 minute delay before the game was finally called.
The Yankees reach the All Star break with a record of 47-47 and in 3rd place in the lackluster AL East. Folks, your favorite blogger, an avid Yankees fan, must share that it will take a miracle for this injury-ridden team to reach the post season. Jus sayin’
On this happy note, will post this and then begin work on my errands and chores list ...
Total mileage for the week==>23.27 miles (average 3.37 miles per day)
Total mileage for 2014==>748.71 miles (average 3.86 miles per day)
GO YANKEES!!
Billi Pod
