HAPPY HUNTING==>A

Saturday==>Good morning to all of my loyal and faithful readers and followers. I want to get this weekend posting off to a very positive start with my report card on last night’s entertainment event, The York Theatre’s Musical’s in Mufti performance of ...

HAPPY HUNTING, about the efforts of a rich widowed hostess to secure a “royal” husband for her daughter in order to become part of Philadelphia’s elite social society==>A

This was a totally enjoyable and well-performed production, especially Klea Blackhurst in the lead role of Liz, a role originally played by the legendary Ethel Merman.

Folks, if you close your eyes while Klea is singing the mental image of Ethel Merman immediately pops into your head. It is incredible. The sold-out audience was totally into her performance.

The rest of the cast is also stellar, especially Michael Sharon in the role of The Duke, Jessica Grove as the daughter, and Andrew Samonsky as the lawyer/love-interest.

The entire show was just a lot of fun and an extremely pleasant evening’s entertainment.

As I have posted before, I remain amazed at the caliber of these Mufti productions with only 30-hours of rehearsal time.

I don’t know if tickets are available for the remaining productions, two for today and two for tomorrow, but if so ... see this show.

Moving on ...

I had planned to have lunch today with my longtime friend and former colleague Circuit Judge Gisela Cardonne-Ely from Miami, FL, who is in the area for only the weekend, but ... dammit ... she is under-the-weather, so we had to cancel our plans==>BUMMER!!

Oh well==>FEEL BETTER SOON GISELA.

Tonight I will meet up with my theater buddies Dian Crystal aka My Lady and the recently returned from God knows where Marty Kosarik aka Numnutz and we will see ...

8:00==>THE NORTH POOL - “In this riveting psychological drama, a high school vice principal and a Middle Eastern-born transfer student engage in a politically and emotionally charged game of cat and mouse, with dangerous consequences.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

This show in playing at the Vineyard Theatre in Union Square and has received mixed reviews/buzz.

After the show we will then have a late meal somewhere in the Union Square area.

Moving on ...

Actually, not much moving ... this pretty much sums up what is going on today with your favorite blogger here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World. Tomorrow is already booked, of course, with two classical music concerts. The details will be in tomorrow’s posting.

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>2.83 miles (or, 6,189 steps)
