A Call From Army Guy==>AWESOME!!

I can’t believe it. At around 8:30am this morning my cellphone rang. When I answered it a deep voice said ... “hi there soon-to-be great-granddaddy.”

OMFG! It was my oldest grandson Alex Falletta aka Army Guy calling from way “over-there.” I couldn’t believe it, although I had known he had previously been able to call his wife Gina.

We had a great conversation even though my heart was racing during the entire time. When we ended the call I have to admit that I was momentarily overcome with emotion. Yes, technology is indeed awesome.

It was wonderful to hear his voice.

Thanks for calling Army Guy. Be safe!! Love ya.

You know, it’s difficult to sit down and write this blog posting when a loved-one is in harm’s way, but I had previously promised Army Guy that, to the extent possible, I would carry on with my life, so ... OK ... let’s do it ...

But ... dammit to Hell ... Mr. President and those bickering assholes in Congress ... our number one priority has to be to bring our troops home ... NOW!!

Today is also a solemn day for me for another reason. One year ago today I lost my dear friend, colleague and fraternity brother J. “Papa” Hall.

This is an excerpt from my September 15, 2010 posting ...

“I first met J. “Papa” Hall at the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity house at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, in September 1952. He was a Brother, a Senior and a campus icon. I was a skinny blonde pledge who was in complete awe over being in Papa’s presence. Over the ensuing years we became friends and professional colleagues - a friendship that spanned almost 6 decades”

My complete posting, with Papa’s obituary, is at ....

http://wanorrisjr.blogspot.com/2010/09/j-lewis-hall-jr-1931-2010.html

My thoughts and prayers go out to Papa’s family and friends and particularly to his devoted longtime companion Vivian Garfein.

OK ... OK ... Billi Pod will now get back on track with ...

PIGPEN PRESENTS: THE MOUNTAIN SONG was a very pleasant evening’s entertainment with a very talented cast of musicians/actors/puppeteers. It clocked in at just over an hour.

Meaning ... Billi Pod had plenty of time to walk part of the way back to PHC, fix a salad and settle in to watch the 10:10pm EST Yankees/Mariners game. The game finally ended around 1:30am when the Mariners won 2-1 in the bottom of the 12th inning on a walk-off homerun. Damn!!

The Yankees thereby missed a golden opportunity to go up 5 games on Boston since the FuckSox lost earlier to Toronto. Damn!!

We have the day off to travel to Toronto for a 3 game series with The Jays.

Billi Pod’s entertainment event for tonight is ...

8:00==>THE COMPLETE & CONDENSED STAGE DIRECTIONS OF EUGENE O'NEILL, VOLUME 1: EARLY PLAYS/LOST PLAYS - “O’Neills eloquent but often obsessive and often controlling stage directions are unleashed and transformed into rip-roaring physical comedy.”(Off Broadway - $9.00 TDF ticket)

Yeah, I know - it sounds weird doesn’t it? But, it has gotten very good reviews so I thought I would give it a shot.

Dreams of Flying Dreams of Falling==>Donkey Dung!! Barf!!

OK, my loyal and faithful readers ... let’s get right to it ...

Billi Pod’s report card on the pile of donkey dung aka Adam Rapp’s new so-called “drama” DREAMS OF FLYING DREAMS OF FALLING==>F-<==as in foul, fetid and f**king disgusting.

What is Rapp trying to tell us? I have no clue and neither did several of my theater buddies I talked with after the show. I personally felt as if I had fallen into a fly trap of mediocre melodrama.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, about this cesspool masquerading as a play made any sense at all, like ... ending the show by bringing the carcass of a dead lion on stage. WTF?? This actually induced verbal responses of utter disbelief from the audience. Not joking.

Yes ... the cast is stellar but they are victims of Rapp’s heavy-handed characterizations. None of the main characters are believable or likable. You just don’t care about any of them.

Yes ... yes ... I know what some of you theatre-elite out there are thinking ... Billi Pod isn’t smart enough or suave enough to understand the mind of this brilliant young playwright. Well ... to you he says==>Billi Pod knows shit when he sees/smells it ... this terrible play is a pile of donkey dung.

Case closed.

Now on to something more positive ... like ...

The Yankees won 3-2 last night in Seattle behind an decent but erratic outing from AJ Burnett aka Loser Boi, who went 6 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits and striking out 11. In typical Loser Boi fashion, he gave up a 2 run lead, walked 2, hit 2 batters and made 2 wild pitches. Yankee bats saved his ass.

Mo closed out the bottom of the 9th getting his 600th career save, putting him 1 behind the all-time leader Trevor Hoffmann.

The Yankees will close out the series tonight at 10:10pm EST with rookie Ivan Nova on the mound going for his 16th win.

Billi Pod’s entertainment event for tonight is another Fringe Festival Encore production ...

7:00==>PIGPEN PRESENTS: THE MOUNTAIN SONG - “The tale of a carpenter who climbs mountains and traverses rivers in order to attend his daughter's wedding - without a clue as to where it's taking place.” (Off Broadway - $9.00 TDF ticket)

Still have some errands and stuff to do, so will close this out.

Oh, did you understand that Billi Pod thinks that DREAMS OF FLYING DREAMS OF FALLING is puke-inducingly bad? Just wanted to make sure you did.

FOURTEEN FLIGHTS==>Excellent!!

Last night’s FOURTEEN FLIGHTS was an excellent theater evening, with a thought-provoking story line and brilliant, and I mean brilliant, acting.

Two airline pilots have a near-death flight experience (for themselves; thirteen passengers will die) . How they deal with it involves the questions of survival and fate.

As I had posted yesterday, I had some serious misgivings about the show, including the running time at 2:30 with an intermission. Well, I was wrong. It has 3 more performances: September 15, 16 and 18 and I highly recommend it.

Thank goodness the Yankees were playing in Seattle last night. The game started at 10:05pm EST, so Billi Pod was able to watch most of it.

The Yankees won 9-3 behind an excellent outing from Phil Hughes. The Bronx Bomber bats finally came alive. We now lead the AL East by 4 games.

Tonight AJ Barnett aka Loser Boi will be on the mound==>barf!!

Billi Pod’s entertainment event for tonight is ...

8:00==>DREAMS OF FLYING DREAMS OF FALLING - The world premiere of Adam Rapp’s visceral drama. “Dr. Bertram and Sandra Cabot invite long time friends Dirk and Celeste Von Stofenberg to their beautiful Connecticut Gold Coast home in honor of James, the Von Stofenberg’s only son, who has recently been released from an esteemed private psychiatric hospital.

The feast promises to be delicious, but soon the sky turns a strange color, Canadian geese start crashing into the bay window, and the fate of the evening tilts.” (Off Broadway - discounted TDF ticket)

Yeah, I know.

In the past most of Adam Rapp’s plays have made me want to slit my wrists or the like. It will be a love-it or hate-it evening, without a doubt.

Just got back from a useless trip out to the Stadium to exchange a ticket. I won’t bore you with the details other than to say that it was another one of those “please read the fine print” experiences.

In closing==>Billi Pod’s entertainment schedule for the upcoming 13 days is basically full. He has only 1 totally open date at the moment ... September 22nd. Wow!!

Billi Pod Reports On September 11, 2011

September 11, 2011 was a very somber and reflective occasion here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World.

When I went to bed at the usual 2:00am on Sunday morning I set my alarm clock for 8:00am just to be certain that I would be up when the ceremonies down at Ground Zero began, especially the moment of silence at 8:46am, which was the time that the first airplane struck.

I watched all of the ceremonies until it was time to head out to Brooklyn for my scheduled facetime with John Scott Reed. I left PHC at 12:30pm.

On my walk to the Port Authority Bus Terminal I noted the sparse foot traffic and how quiet it seemed. There was no horn blowing.

A very very heavy security presence in and around the Port Authority.

Admission==>in my backpack was a week’s worth of my meds, including all of my eye drops.

Everything went OK, of course.

Had a great time with Scott. I like his new pad and ‘hood. We spent some time on the roof deck of his building and then he took me on a walking tour of his ‘hood.

We had a nice lunch/brunch at a Cobble Hill restaurant named Char No. 4.

I left Scott around 4:00pm and subwayed back to PHC in time to change clothes and then head down to the Gramercy area to meet my theater buddy Dian Crystal for our entertainment event for the evening, which was ...

A BLUE SKY LIKE NO OTHER. This was a tribute to the fallen fire department reponders, told from the perspective of the performer, whose office was located several blocks South of The World Trade Center.

It was poignant and very well performed. Thanks Dian for the invite.

When the show was over we had a great meal at Mollys Pub, a Gramercy area staple.

When I left the Port Authority around 10:30pm I was again struck at how quiet it was and that a somber feeling was still everywhere. Trust me ... I am trying not to be overly dramatic ... this is just how I felt it was.

I have to admit that I was pretty tired when I crashed last night at the usual 2:00am. It certainly helped that I was able to spend the day with friends who also shared my sadness and latent anger over the tragedy of 9/11/01 and its aftermath. Thanks Scott and Dian.

Also, thanks to everyone for all of the emails, texts and posts regarding my 9/11/01 email posting. Frankly, I was amazed at the number of responses and page views I got.

OK, folks ... now it is time for Billi Pod to move on to other things and stuff ... like ...

Billi Pod’s report cards on shows he saw for his entertainment doubleheader on Saturday night ...

SWEET AND SAD==>B<==would have gotten a higher grade except for the staging that had the actors speaking important dialogue while their backs were turned to large portions of the audience. It is staged in the 3/4s round (if that makes any sense to you). I was on the side only 3 rows back and I had difficulty hearing. I wasn’t the only one having problems because I was privy to a lot of bitching after the show.

Also, It is almost 2 hours without intermission. I agree with the lack of intermission, but it needs to be cut back to not more than 1:45.

Then later that night was ...

SILENCE! THE MUSICAL==>A+<==it was as raunchy, campy and profane as advertised, and then some. OMFG!

I can’t remember having as much fun at a show. The sold-out house was roaring from beginning to end. I mean, what’s not to like in a show that has Hannibal Lecter singing the following wistful ballad as he thinks about Agent Starling ... PROFANITY ALERT! PROFANITY ALERT! DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING IF YOU ARE PRUDISH AND/OR OVERLY SENSITIVE ....

“If I Could Smell Her Cunt.”

Yes, my loyal and faithful readers out there in the vast hinterlands, that is the correct title of the ballad and it pretty much reflects the theme of the show.

I loved it. Will see it again and Billi Pod highly recommends it if, and only if, you are in the mood to laugh and laugh and gasp and then laugh some more.

You are welcum!!

Moving on ... yes ... yes ... I know ... many of you are wondering about the lack of postings regarding The Yankees.

Well, Billi Pod has no excuse ... he just hasn’t felt in the mood to opine on their lackluster performances on this critical road trip.

They lost 4 straight games they should/ have could/have won. In doing so they lost an opportunity to effectively bury The Boston FuckSox, who are on a 5-game losing streak.

The main problem has been a lack of clutch hitting from their injury depleted roster. Yes, we do lead the AL East by 3 1/2 games (4 in the loss column) over the FuckSox, but ... folks ... we got lots of problems, with the age of our starting lineup beginning to take its toll.

The FuckSox have a lot to worry about too since they now lead Tampa Bay in the Wild Card race by only 3 1/2 games.

Tonight The Yankees begin a 3 game series in Seattle and Phil Hughes will be on the mound for the Bronx Bombers.

Billi Pod’s entertainment event for tonight is ...

8:00==>FOURTEEN FLIGHTS - “Two commercial pilots are on the brink of madness.” (Off Broadway - $9.00 TDF ticket)

This show is part of the Fringe Festival Encore Series. I know ... it does sound kinda iffy, doesn't it.

Billi Pod will close this overly long posting with ...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO==>ALEX FALLETTA aka Army Guy. This is #31. We love you. Be safe.

September 11, 2001==>WE MUST NEVER FORGET!!

Good morning my loyal and faithful readers on Sunday, September 11, 2011.

Ten years ago the unthinkable happened at The World Trade Center. At that time I was living in a studio apartment, 1-F, at 335 E. 51st Street, between 1st and 2nd Avenues and just blocks North of the United Nations Building.

Today I think it is important for me to share with you what I experienced on September 11th and the week following, so below are copies of 3 emails I sent to family and friends and my then 150+ newsletter readers regarding September 11th.

These emails are in their original form and content. I resisted all thoughts of editing them. I did, however, add the pictures to this posting. This is what happened and my reactions and thoughts at that unimaginable time in American history ...

Subject: September 11 - I am OK - NYC Under Siege

Date: Tuesday, September 11, 2001 @ 3:15pm

From: Wanjr

To: Internet List

Hi:

Thanks for the emails. I am OK.

NYC is presently in an under-siege mode. I have just gotten back from grocery store to put in supplies. It reminds me of Fla. just after a hurricane warning. On the corner of 51st and 2nd Ave. looking south you can see the dense smoke downtown. All mass transit is shut down. Manhattan is isolated now, no transportation in or out of the city. A steady stream of people walking uptown. It is scary and very emotional out on the street. Not sure how long my internet connection will stay up. On the TV they just announced that the police now want to clear the streets in Manhattan.

You know, I feel personally violated and very emotional about this whole thing right now - will keep you all advised.

Subject: September 12 - Thank You Dear Friends

Date" Wednesday, September 12, 2001 @ 7:35pm

From: Wanjr

To: Internet and Snail Mail List

My dear friends:

The email and calls have helped me during a most difficult time - thank you my dear friends.

Like hundreds and thousands of New Yorkers I went to bed very late last night and awoke this morning very early. When I opened the door to get the 3 daily newspapers there was nothing so I dressed and went to the newsstand and only The Post and The Daily News were available - no New York Times. At 7:30am very few people were on the streets and there was almost no traffic. Was able to get a Post and a News, but no Times.

I feel very very unsettled and more emotional than I expected I would be, partly, I think, because I had such a link with the World Trade Center area. As many of you know, the beginning of the Norris Downtown Tour is the World Trade Center and its outside plaza. On Tuesdays the 1/2 price TKTS booth offers advance tickets to Wednesday matinees and I had planned to go down there later in the day to get a matinee ticket, but I wouldn't have been there until noon or later.

Also, Judge Bob Doyle and his wife Chelle, were scheduled to be in the city today until Sunday and I had made plans with Chelle to meet her Thursday at 11:00 and we were planning to go downtown to the WTC for the Norris Downtown Tour. The conference has been canceled and they will remain in Florida.

I can understand the concept of the buildings being damaged, but the fact that they no longer exist is beyond my comprehension.

I felt so restless that I just had to get out of the apartment so I decided that I would take the subway up to Yankee stadium to swap my last night game ticket for the game tonight. It would be something to do, a distraction perhaps. The streets in the neighborhood were still virtually empty. On the way to the subway entrance you pass a Fire Department station and as I was walking past I observed groups of fireman still in dust covered gear washing each other with fire hoses. Their trucks and other equipment were covered with dust and soot. According to TV reports the fire department sustained major casualties yesterday when the buildings collapsed. I got tears in my eyes as I walked past and then I turned around and hollered ..... God bless you guys .... and several guys waved back. I cried and I am not ashamed to admit it.

I collected myself and got on the train. The subway was about 25% full. No one, and I mean no one, was talking even those who were traveling with someone. When I got to Yankee Stadium none of the businesses that border the stadium were open. The stadium was cordoned off with yellow tape and there was a very visible police presence. I asked the police officers about tonight's game and they said that the remaining games for the week had been canceled. I am not surprised. I came back to the apartment and the subways downtown were the same as the uptown ones with the exception that almost everyone was reading either the Post or the News - still no sign of The Times.

Reading between the lines from all of the local coverage I believe that the final death toll will be horrific. The scope of the physical damage is beyond description, the most often used phrase is ...... this looks like a war zone.

I don't know why I am writing this or even if I will send it.

And then, 8 days later ...

Subject: September 19 - Last Week in the Big Apple

Date: Wednesday, September 19, 2001 @ 12:05PM

From: Wanjr

To: Internet and Snail Mail List

Hello my dear cyberspace friends:

As I write this, on Wednesday morning, the healing process continues in The Big Apple and throughout the rest of the United States, but, it is so difficult not to be overwhelmed with sadness and then indescribable anger that turns to rage. How could this have happened? Your continued phone calls and emails have helped so much.

During the past week I found it very difficult to get out of the apartment other than to make brief trips to the grocery stores in the neighborhood. Yet, when I stayed in I was virtually overcome with sadness and restlessness. As a rather strange aside .... because this apartment is bigger than the dorm room aka 338 E. 53rd St., Apt 4C, it has more open space and walking around room and because of that I found it easier to remain indoors. I had pacing room. Go figure.

Anyway, some random thoughts/observations ....

At 7:00pm on Friday evening I would estimate the Times Square crowd to be only about 1/3 the normal. Many people were carrying candles, many with flags. The attendance at the performance of Kiss Me Kate that I decided to see at the last minute, was only about 75% of the orchestra - no one was seated in the mezzanine.

The weekend was very sad and solemn. Very sparse traffic, very quiet. I didn’t want to do anything and I didn’t. I even stopped watching the TV newscasts.

Monday, the first full work day for many, was also sad and somber. Traffic was somewhat heavier, but the streets were eerily quiet with almost no horn blowing. People walking to work had very somber looks on their faces. At noon groups of people doing their normal lunch break walk-arounds were talking in subdued voices, if they were talking at all.

The specialty of the fire engine company located on 51st Street between 2nd and 3rd is fires in high rise buildings. They lost 11 members of their small company. Their pictures are on display surrounded by flowers, candles and written tributes. People stop and some knelt to pray.

The entrance to New York Hospital, where I have been going in preparation of having my thyroid zapped next Wednesday, is plastered with pictures of the missing and now presumed dead. So many young people are on display.

Union Square Park located on 14th Street has become a monument to the victims and survivors. When I was there last night around 7:00pm I was joined by thousands of silent observers reading the missing persons pleas and tributes to the fallen and to the survivors.

Many many people who attend the noon AA meeting at the Citicorp Building had relatives/friends who worked at the World Trade Center. One young man talked about being virtually homeless because his apartment was in Battery Park City and he has been unable to return to it to retrieve anything. I have a gut feeling that perhaps AA members are a bit more able to cope because we have all experienced the deepest of tragedies in our own lives and are able to share our experiences, strengths and hopes with others.

American flags fly from buildings and cars.

The David Letterman show Monday night was unbelievable and I am so glad I watched it.

Mayor Giuliani has exhibited remarkable leadership skills.

New York's bravest and finest, the Fire Fighters and Policemen, are indeed that.

I have felt the almost overwhelming need to *do something* to help, but there was nothing available. My medicines prohibited me from giving blood and the cities need for volunteers had long been met. I felt insignificant and useless.

Then, yesterday, one week after the tragedy, William A. Norris, Jr., a New Yorker and damned proud of it, decided that he would reclaim his life. No fucking way was he going to permit those soulless bastards to continue to control his daily routine, his feelings, his emotions, to spend one more minute in his head, so ... fuck them and the horses they rode in on!!! New York City is still the greatest city in the World!!

I picked up the phone and got tickets for: the Tuesday night Yankees game vs. Tampa Bay - the first game back in Yankee stadium; the first preview performance of the new Off Broadway musical Reefer Madness, for last night; the WTC victim’s benefit concert at the Metropolitan Opera for Saturday night; Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman at New York City Opera Company for Friday night; and the Off Broadway revival of the Allen Sherman musical Hello Muddah! Hello Faddah! for today’s matinee. More will come. I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, yesterday I made those plans, went to the thyroid Dr., made a contribution to the Fire Department Relief Fund, saw the funny movie Rat Race, went to the Union Square memorial, and saw Reefer Madness.

Yes, my dear friends, thanks to your thoughts and prayers and to my Higher Power - I am indeed on my way back.

Love to you all.

Saturday 9/10/11==>NYC In A Lockdown Mode

Good afternoon my loyal and faithful readers out there in cyberspace.

Make no mistake about it==>tension is growing in The Big Apple as the time winds down to the 10th anniversary of the horrors of 9/11/01.

It is reported that the NYPD has sent high-response security teams as far North as The Bronx and South down to Battery Park City, all as a result of a reported Al Qaeda car bombing threat.

Security has been amped up on city streets, subway platforms and train stations.

Despite the gridlock and delays it appears as if we New Yorkers are taking it all in stride.

Billi Pod will not allow those limp-dicked terrorists to intrude on his lifestyle in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World. FUCK THEM!!

So ... now let’s get on to other things ... like ...

Billi Pod’s report card on last night’s THE WORLD IS MY CHEESECAKE==>B+<==funny, thought-provoking and very well acted. I am glad I saw it.

Wish I could say the same for the limp-bat Wankies who lost their third 1 run game. Bartolo Colon pitched a gem of a game but to no avail after Jeter made a costly error that lead to the 2-1 loss to the LA Angels.

We have blown 3 consecutive chances to distance ourselves from the now second place Boston FuckSox.

Tonight our ace CC Sabathia will be on the mound for the 9:05pm (EST) game.

Tonight Billi Pod has something rather unusual on his entertainment pallet. What, you are no doubt breathlessly asking ... well ... it is two ... yes ... two back-to-back evening shows ...

First there is ...

7:30==>SWEET AND SAD - “The Apple Family finds themselves together again for the first time since Election Night, 2010. Over Sunday brunch on the tenth anniversary of 9/11, the Apples find themselves talking about loss, memory, remembrance and the meaning of compensation.” (OFF BROADWAY - $9.00 TDF ticket)

This show is in very early previews so there isn’t any advanced buzz. It is playing at The Public Theatre downtown, one of my favorite venues.

And then, also downtown is ...

10:30==>SILENCE! THE MUSICAL - “Campy, raunchy and mounted on the cheap, this tuneful parody of 'The Silence of the Lambs’ is sweet, tangy and very tasty.” (Off Broadway - discounted ticket).

I know it sounds crazy but the reviews have been great and the people I have talked with who have seen it have all loved it.

I scheduled the doubleheaders because the GATORS vs. ARCADIA HIGH SCHOOL game isn’t ... surprise surprise ... being carried by any of the local stations.

Oh, I know they are really playing UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham) ... so calm down ... OK ... calm down ...

I now want to share with you loyal and faithful readers my plans are for Sunday, September 11, 2011 ...

Around noon Billi Pod will subway out to the vast wilderness known as Brooklyn for lunch with John Scott Reed.

I will do this if he gets off his lazy ass and sends me the directions to get to his place, as requested yesterday ...

Then ... maybe ... I will finally get a chance to see his new apartment ... hopefully that is ...

Billi Pod will then subway back to Manhattan and meet up with his theater-buddy Dian Crystal for a show - 7:00==>A BLUE SKY LIKE NO OTHER - “This one-man show is a tribute, with music, to the members of the NYC Fire Department who lost their lives to save the lives of others on 9/11/01.”

After the show we will catch a bite somewhere in The Gramercy Park area.

Early Sunday morning I will post 3 emails I sent to family and friends and my then 150+ newsletter readers regarding September 11th and the week following. They will be in their original and unedited form.

GO YANKEES AND GO GATORS!!

Billi Pod Is Back In His Theater Modality

First ... a big TGIF shout out to all of my Worker Bee friends out there in the vast hinterlands. Have an awesome weekend!!

Billi Pod’s report card on last night’s THE SUBMISSION==>B+<==excellent acting from a stellar cast headed by Jonathan Groff.

A very thought-provoking story line weaving racial bias and sexual preferences into our everyday psyche and perceptions of other people.

My major criticism is that there was way-too-much shouting/screaming and obviously forced anger. This was the first preview performance and the show, at 1:45 without intermission, needs trimming.

This was Billi Pod’s first theater event in ... gasp ... 8 days/nights and ... man ... did it feel great to just be there.

Bottom line==>Billi Pod says see it.

Yesterday afternoon the Yankees lost to The Orioles 5-4 in 10 innings, in Baltimore, a makeup game. Basically the bullpen sucked, blowing a 3 run lead.

This means that we lost two consecutive extra innings games to the last place Birds ... not good.

Tonight @ 10:05pm (EST)==>YANKEES vs. LA ANGELS.

This is the first game of a 9-game road trip. Bartolo Colon will be on the mound versus their ace Jered Weaver.

The Bronx Bombers still lead The Boston FuckSox by 2 1/2 games in the AL East.

Billi Pod’s entertainment event for tonight is ...

8:00==>THE WORLD IS MY CHEESECAKE - “7 short plays that blend the surreal, the absurd and the outlandish with biting social commentary for a funny, moving and thought-provoking evening of theatre.” (Off Broadway - $9.00 TDF ticket)

Yeah, this is what I need for tonight.

Now some miscellaneous things and stuff ...

On Saturday I have a night doubleheader, a show at 7:30pm and then one at 10:30pm. I will post the details about this tomorrow.

Tomorrow I will also post the details of what Billi Pod will be doing on Sunday, September 11, 2011.

In summary, he will have brunch in Brooklyn with John Scott Reed and then a concert in the evening with Dian Crystal. Meaning, yes ... Billi Pod will follow his usual routine on this date, including riding the subways.

The details for Sunday’s activities will be posted on Saturday because on early 9/11/11 I will post unedited copies of emails that I wrote to family and friends on September 11, 12 @ 19, 2001. Nothing else will be posted on that day, either to my blog or on my FaceBook Wall.
