Billi Pod Loved Vacation - Yankees - The Johnson Brothers

Tuesday==>We will get today’s posting started with your favorite Sunshine State blogger's comments on yesterday’s entertainment event ... the movie ...

VACATION - “Hoping to bring his family closer together and to recreate his childhood vacation for his own kids, an adult Rusty Griswold takes his wife and two sons on a cross-country road trip to Walley World. Needless to say, things don’t go quite as planned.”

Billi Pod’s report card==>A-

I have to admit, right off the bat, that Billi Pod was totally in the mood for some in-your-face profane humor and this movie delivers that, to the nth degree. There was a lot of out-loud laughing from the audience, with plenty of ooooooooooohs and ahhhhhhhhhhhs and a few Oh My God, did that just happen? moments.

I was impressed with Ed Helms as the adult Rusty Griswold, who is a pilot on a low-budget airline, but less so with Christina Applegate as his wife, who yearns for more spontaneity and variety in their marriage.

The actors playing the sons do excellent jobs, Skyler Gisondo as the nerdy older brother, James, and Steele Stebbins as the foul-mouthed young brother, Kevin, who teases and bullies his older brother through most of the movie.

It was nice seeing Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo in their cameo roles as the older Griswolds.

Bottom line==>if you are in the mood for raunchy and crude humor (I will just toss in “the meaning of rim job” as an example) then this is the movie for you many times over. If not, then stay far far away. Mean it ... far far away.

Moving on to today ...

Had a very good early morning walk and wander session, recording==>3.11 miles.

My plans for the day will be to complete the left over items on yesterday’s errands and chores list and then for the evening I will stay in the cool and comfortable confines of my new apartment to watch ...

7:10pm==>YANKEES vs. INDIANS, from Cleveland, in the first game of the 3-game series.

On the mound for the Yankees (61-49) will be Luis Severino (0-1) who lost his MLB debut to the FuckSox vs. Carlos Carrasco (11-8) for the Indians (51-59).

Also on a baseball note ...

The regional playoffs leading up to the Little League World Series are now underway and these are always fun for baseball fans like moi to watch.

Moving on ...

Advance notice==>this coming Thursday I am meeting up with the Johnson brothers, Bill and Jon, for lunch at the Dubsdread Country Club in Orlando. Bill lives in Tampa and Jon in Rockledge.

We were fraternity brothers (Kappa Alpha Order) at the University of Florida and were roommates both on and off-campus, at various times. It has been years since we were together, so I am very charged and will share more details with you loyal and faithful readers and followers in later postings.

KICK CANCER’S ASS!!

GO YANKEES!! GO GATORS!!

Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>4.25 miles (or, 9,290 steps)

Total mileage for 2015==>919.17 miles (average 4.14 miles per day)
