First, in an extremely frustrating game that was rain delayed by 1:23, the Wankies lost their second game to the lowly Phillies (the worst record in MLB) by a score of 11-6, with another lackluster outing from the still struggling CC Sabathia. Yeah, we hit four HRs but that wasn’t enough as the usually stellar Dellin Betances earned his first career loss. Barf!!
This afternoon at 1:00pm, from Yankee Stadium, The House That Greed And Ego Built, the Phillies go for the sweep of the 3-game series.
On the mound for the Wankies (38-33) will be Ivan Nova (0-0), who is making his first major league start since undergoing Tommy John surgery 14 months ago. He will face Cole Hammel (5-5) for the Phillies (26-47).
There is a lot of insider buzz that the Yankees are trying to work out a deal to acquire Hammel, in an attempt to improve our starting rotation. Interesting. Stay tuned.

The second major disappointment was the Vanderbilt/Virginia game in the College World Series, won by Virginia 3-0.
This was a very exciting game to watch and also very frustrating as Vandy missed multiple opportunities to score.
The winner-take-all game is tonight at 8:00pm on ESPN.
Moving on ...
Billi Pod’s entertainment event for tonight is ...
8:00pm==>I LOVE LUCY LIVE ON STAGE - “It’s 1952 and you are a member of the Desilu Playhouse studio audience awaiting the filming of two hilarious and oh-so-familiar I Love Lucy episodes. A charming host entertains and enlightens you to the behind-the-scenes filming process of this brand new thing called “television,” the Crystaltone Singers perform advertising jingles in perfect 50s style harmony and the sidesplitting antics of America’s favorite foursome – Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel – are presented live on stage and in color for the very first time!”
This is a production of a national touring company and will be performed at the Walt Disney Theatre at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Orlando.
It has a running time of 1:40, with intermission, and runs through June 28th.
I will go to and from the show via public transportation, probably SunRail. If the weather is bad then I will do a combination of bus and SunRail.
GO VANDY!! GO YANKEES!!
Total mileage for 2015==>715.66 miles (average 4.11 miles per day)
