Monday==>It is a gray and overcast morning here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, but there is nothing I can do about it ... so ... why don’t we get this week started with something positive, like ...
I am happy to report that your favorite blogger here in The Big Apple did rather well in his predictions. He was correct in 7 out of the 8 predictions he made for you loyal and faithful readers and followers in Saturday’s posting.
The only one Billi Pod missed was the BEST REVIVAL OF A PLAY category. His prediction was for Twelfth Night to win, but the Tony went to A Raisin in the Sun, and he has no problem with that.

Neil Patrick Harris was outstanding in his Hedwig number. I just gotta man up and get a full-price ticket to this show while he is still in it.

Man, what is it with Clint Eastwood? He mispronounced The Cripple of Inishmaan, looked old and acted senile.
As is my custom, during most of the acceptance speeches I hit the mute button and then got up and walked around the apartment, which I also did during the interminable commercial breaks. During the 3-hour show I actually recorded a little over a mile on my WeightWatchers Pedometer.
All-in-all I enjoyed the show, especially my record of 7-1. Way to go Billi Pod!!
Moving on ...
Yesterday was another excellent walking day. I was able to do some major walking and wandering in my ‘hood after the woeful YANKEES/KANSAS CITY game (details below).
Today is going to be excellent ... first ...

We haven’t been together since May 6th when they hosted my 80th birthday party. We have a lot of catching up to do.
When we finish we will then walk over to The Theater District to see the Broadway show ...

This show is in early previews, opens on June 19th, is playing at The Palace Theatre on Broadway between 46th and 47th Streets, has a running time of 2:25, with intermission, and is an open run.
Yeah, I know ... this show is probably going to be one of those either “loved it or hated it” events.
So ... really looking forward to being with you guys ... and ... ahem ... this posting will be early enough so there will be no acceptable excuse(s) for not reading it ... understood?
On this happy note ... moving on to some sports ... for Marty, of course ...

Man, this was a painful game to watch as The Wankies went 1-17 with runners in scoring position. The tone of the game was set in the top of the 2nd inning when The Wankies loaded the bases with no outs and then failed to score.
The beat writer of The NY Post described the game as: “the latest gathering of the Dead Bats Society.” I totally agree.
Tonight at 8:10pm is the final game of the 4-game series. On the mound for The Wankies will be Vidal Nuno (1-2) vs. Jason Vargas (5-2).
OK, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, as most of you know, Monday is Billi Pod’s errands and chores day ... so ... we need to post this and get started ...
Total mileage for the week==>33.59 miles (average 4.80 miles per day)
Total mileage for 2014==>600.96 miles (average 3.78 miles per day)
GO YANKEES!!
