Yes, my loyal and faithful readers and followers, yesterday afternoon in The Swamp my Florida Gators put an ass-whipping on those pitiful and forlorn #9-ranked South Carolina Limpcocks, winning 44-11, as Jeff Driskell threw four touchdown passes - three of them after turnovers.
Take that Steve Spurrier!!
With the win the Gators remain undefeated (7-0) and can advance to the SEC Championship game with a win next Saturday over the Georgia Bullfrogs, in Jacksonville.
In the name of fair and unbiased reporting Billi Pod has to admit that in no way, shape, manner or form did he forecast this in his preseason analysis of The Gator’s upcoming season. What a pleasant surprise it has been so far.
Yes, I have to tip my Gator cap to Coach Muskrat and his staff. They have produced an in-your-face, we-can-beat-your-ass, bring-it-on, team. Let’s hope and pray that they can maintain this attitude for the rest of the season.
Yes, Billi Pod was flying high after the game as he walked up to West 50th Street to The New World Stages for his evening’s entertainment event, so here is his report card on the revival of the Tennessee Williams play ...
IN THE BAR OF A TOKYO HOTEL, about an insane painter and his wife in Japan==>C-
Barf!!
I was insane not to leave at intermission. This show just didn’t work for me. Totally unlikeable characters, unbelievable story line and way way too much yelling and screaming. The attempt to “modernize” it with multimedia and dance totally fell flat.
The 200-seat theater was about 1/3 full and a substantial number left at intermission. Wish that I had.
So, folks in the Tri-State area, see this show at your own risk. You are warned.
On a happier note==>It is another beautiful Fall day in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World and that is good because Billi Pod has yet another doubleheader, starting with ...
3:00==>BROADWAY ORIGINALS! - “A concert featuring actors who created and introduced some of the most original songs on Broadway.” (complimentary ticket)
In the cast are: Alice Ripley, Tovah Feldshuh, Chad Kimball, Matt Cavenaugh and others.
These concerts are usually a lot of fun even though I am certain that my comp. seat will be in the upper rear balcony nosebleed section.
After the concert I will, hopefully, meet up with my theater buddy Dian Crystal aka My Lady and we will then walk downtown for our second entertainment event, probably stopping along the way for a bite.
Our second show is playing at the recently refurbished Public Theatre @ Astor Place ...
8:00==>WILD WITH HAPPY - “A down-on-his-luck actor returns to Philadelphia after his Mother dies. He plans to scatter her ashes in the place she was most happy.” (Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)
Leading the cast is up-and-coming actor Colman Domingo, who is also the playwright. I have heard very little buzz about this show.
I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT REST OF THE WEEKEND.
Yesterday’s Pedometer mileage==>6.40 miles (or, 13,991 steps)

Mileage remaining until 4/23/13==>480.43
GO GATORS!!
