DISGRACED==>A+

Good morning everyone out there in the morass known as cyberspace.

Let’s get right to the important stuff, like Billi Pod’s report card on last night’s entertainment event ...

DISGRACED, a drama about a successful Pakistani-American lawyer who is rapidly moving up the corporate ladder and has distanced himself from his cultural roots==>A+

The riveting story line is somewhat uncomfortable at times and is very much “in-your-face.” The core issue is that we need to know who we really are, which often times isn’t what others think we are. 

The acting is sensational, led by Aasif Mandvi, of "The Daily Show" fame. The 80-minute running time flies by.

IMHO it earns all of the basically highly favorable reviews it has received.

If you want a well-acted, thought-provoking, no-holds-barred drama, then this is the show for you, so ...

Billi Pod says==>See this show ASAP because it only runs through November 18th.

Oh, it is playing at the recently opened Claire Tow Theater @ Lincoln Center. It is really a nice venue.

When the show was over I walked back to the apartment while listening to game one of the GIANTS/TIGERS World Series, which, as you loyal and faithful readers and followers know, the Giants won 8-3. Oh well ...

Today’s entertainment event for Billi Pod is ... 

7:00==>NEXT TO NORMAL - “This edgy rock-musical emotional powerhouse portrays the intricacies of a family trying to take care of themselves and each other in the face of a mother's deteriorating mental state.(Off Broadway - complimentary ticket)

This is a revival of the show that won a TONY and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. It was originally Off Broadway and then moved to Broadway. 

I saw it once Off Broadway and twice on Broadway, so I am very much looking forward to seeing this production. 

I am beginning to feel the anxiety building over the upcoming GATORS/BULLDOGS game on Saturday.

We remain 6 1/2 point favorites and basically all of the so-called football pundits up here are predicting a Gator win.

Oh Gawd!! I wish the game started at 3:30pm this afternoon.

Anyway ... moving on ... 

Need to do some walking and wandering, so will post this now and then head out to some place, probably down in Chelsea.
