Friday==>A big TGIF shout-out to everyone out there in the boondocks, hinterlands and wastelands, including my Worker Bee friends, of course.
I hope your upcoming weekend is excellent.
Your favorite blogger here in The Big Apple, The Greatest City In The World, is happy to report that it is a much nicer day today than yesterday, which was basically nothing but rain and drizzle. As a result Billi Pod didn’t venture outside except to meet his buddies Michael and Dennis later for dinner (details below)
Hopefully today I can finally get in some much needed/wanted walking and wandering time so I can get back on my schedule to reach 1,500 miles by midnight on December 31st.
Accruing mileage in November and December is difficult for Billi Pod because of the cold, nasty weather ... so he needs to put extra miles in the bank during the days that the weather is acceptable.
Moving on ...
Had a great time last night with my friends Michael Pederson and Dennis Dohman at Joe Allen on Restaurant Row on West 46th Street.
We did some much needed/wanted catching up and the food was excellent, especially dessert ... Chocolate Pudding Cake, which was adorned with walnuts, vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. AWESOME!!
So, Michael and Dennis ... it was great being with you guys.
Moving on ...
Tonight’s entertainment event is an Off Broadway show ...
8:00==>SPACEBAR: A BROADWAY PLAY BY KYLE SUGARMAN - “Kyle Sugarman is a 16-year-old with a singular mission: to bring his play, Spacebar, to Broadway. Along the way, he wrestles with a number of formidable characters, including a volatile producer, an absent father, and the Captain of the Girls Swim Team. Ever closer to seeing his name in lights, Kyle searches for understanding in this comedic drama about young ambition and the need to settle scores.” (Off Broadway- $9.00 TDF ticket)
This show just received a very favorable review in The New York Times.
It is playing at The Wild Project on East 3rd Street, between Avenues A and B in The East Village, has a running time of 1:25, without intermission, and the final two performances are Saturday @ 2:00pm & 8:00pm.
My plans are to head out early so I can do some walking and wandering before show-time.
Moving on ...
This is advance warning==>tomorrow your favorite blogger plans to spend the entire day/evening in the cozy confines of PHC in front of his new (to him) 42” flat screen TV watching college football.
The Gators are favored by 14 1/2 points.
In response to several rather snarky emails and texts==>No Billi Pod hasn’t changed his mind about Coach Muskrat. He still believes that Muskrat and his entire staff should be fired regardless of how the remainder of the season plays out.
So ...
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!
Total mileage for 2014==>1,265.64 miles (average 4.08 miles per day)
GO GATORS==>BEAT VANDY!!
